One of the most remarkable groups of men to walk the earth was made up of some of the most unremarkable guys.

  • A couple blue collar workers, busting butts to make ends meet
  • A finance professional, stuck in a dead end job
  • A dude with a criminal record

Yet, together, they were able to do incredible things. They overcame their individual shortcomings to bring joy, healing, and love to a world that was totally aching for it.

It’s kind of crazy to think that if Jesus were to walk around today and pick his group of 12 disciples, that you are just as likely to be called as anyone else. And if you knew exactly what sort of amazing things you’d be part of, the kind of MAN you would become, saying YES to the invitation would be a no brainer.

These were ordinary guys that TOGETHER did extraordinary things. They were TRANSFORMED through purpose and fellowship and faith.

It may be shocking, but if Jesus picked 12 men today to form his crew, 9 of them would have porn in their internet browsing history. Many of them would be wrestling with addictive struggles, maybe beer, maybe food. A good number would be overweight. Several would be taking prescription meds to help with their depression and anxiety.

And Jesus would still take them all.

And they would all rise to the challenge.

While Jesus is not physically walking around in our world, the opportunity to join a group of guys and participate in transformational renewal does exist. It’s right here. And it’s calling you.
